Title: Program Assistant (Part Time)

Hourly Range: $24.73 - $27.47

Reports To: PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Location: 2635 Linden Blvd. Brooklyn NY 11208

Hours: 20 hours / Non-Exempt

Schedule: Monday- Friday 2:00PM-6:00PM

MAJOR DUTIES:

  • Prepare snack for afterschool participants.
  • Submit weekly snack attendance.
  • File snack receipt from DYCD
  • Organize and do inventory of Afterschool Supplies.
  • Print out Attendance and dismissal sheets daily.
  • Communicate with families when children are absent from Afterschool Program.
  • Assist with Attendance in DYCD Connect
  • Communicate with families on program updates with special events and initiatives
  • Assist with Social Media Management � Promoting afterschool program and other special initiatives.
  • Greet families at dismissal and do dismissal sign out
  • Collect and enter daily attendance.
  • Distribute flyers, newsletter to families.
  • Assist with coverage if staff are absent.
  • Go to the store to purchase program supplies.
  • Manage visitor log.
  • Manage call log for incoming calls
  • Attend staff meetings and trainings.
  • Support the maintenance of a clean, organized, and welcoming office environment.
  • Any other assigned duties

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable using basic technology (email, spreadsheets, DYCD Connect).
  • Experience working with children and families preferred.
  • Bilingual skills a plus.
