Kitchen Operations & Food Production
Support all kitchen teams for daily operations and the production of all food items.
Conduct quality control line checks for each meal period.
Verify that all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures are consistently maintained by kitchen staff.
Read and follow recipes accurately to prepare and cook both hot and cold food items.
Ensure the timely and accurate completion of food tickets and orders.
Prepare and plate final food products, ensuring an attractive presentation.
Oversee and support line cooks in synchronizing food procurement and other preparation tasks.
Ensure that the daily quantity of prepped foods is sufficient for smooth and efficient restaurant operations.
Maintain the highest standards of quality and appearance for all food prepared and served.
Kitchen Setup & Maintenance
Set up and ensure all kitchen stations are ready for service prior to the start of each meal period.
Ensure cleanliness and high sanitation standards are maintained throughout the kitchen at all times.
Properly return and store all food items to designated storage areas at the end of each shift.
Inventory & Compliance
Order and receive food products from vendors, checking items against the invoice and logging them in the receiving log.
Perform daily data entry for food loss/spoilage, prep lists, and minimal daily order guides.
Comply with all sanitation standards, including temperature logs, HACCP review, and sanitation walkthroughs.
Staff Support & Training
Assist with the training of kitchen personnel on all stations.
Train line cooks on all aspects of the role to help enhance their cooking skills.
General & Administrative
Understand and comply with all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, emergencies, and energy conservation.
Champion company values, standards, and policies.
Perform all miscellaneous duties assigned.
Desired Qualifications:
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
Previous experience as a line cook, lead cook, or similar lead role in high-volume environments.
Demonstrable strength in training and teamwork capabilities.
- Current Food Handlers Card and/or ServSafe Certification.
Willingness to learn leadership skills and mentorship.
