Provide Clinical Services That Support Recovery and Professional Growth
State of the Heart Recovery is seeking a Clinical Therapist to deliver high-quality behavioral health and substance use counseling services within an integrated treatment environment. This role provides individual, group, and family therapy, conducts clinical assessments, develops treatment plans, and ensures compliance with ethical and regulatory standards. The Clinical Therapist works under supervision as required by licensure and contributes to a collaborative, trauma-informed clinical team.
This position offers a significant professional development opportunity. Eligible licensure levels may apply supervised clinical hours and client contact hours obtained through this role toward independent licensure in New Mexico. Weekly supervision is available to support skill development and regulatory compliance.
What You Will Do
- Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy using evidence-based treatment methods consistent with license and scope.
- Conduct clinical assessments including biopsychosocial evaluations, ASAM criteria, GPRA assessments, and other assigned tools.
- Develop, update, and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable, recovery-oriented goals.
- Document all services according to organizational, state, and federal standards including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
- Ensure ethical conduct, professional boundaries, and client rights are upheld at all times.
- Support crisis intervention activities and consult with clinical supervisors on high-risk situations.
- Coordinate referrals for medical, psychiatric, housing, or social services as appropriate.
- Participate in weekly clinical supervision and case consultation meetings.
- Engage in quality assurance reviews, chart audits, and compliance improvement activities.
- Participate in mandatory trainings, treatment team meetings, and professional development activities.
- Maintain active licensure and meet annual continuing education requirements.
- Perform additional clinical duties assigned to support program operations and client progress.
