We currently have a Shipping Clerk position available in our facility in Pasco, WA.
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for coordinating and executing shipping and receiving documentation, order processing, and inventory transactions at a temperature-controlled warehouse. This role supports accurate and timely shipment of finished goods while ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, and company requirements. The Shipping Clerk works closely with the Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Lead, warehouse associates, production, and transportation partners to ensure efficient material flow and accurate recordkeeping.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound loads with carriers and dock operations. Coordinate dock schedules, and communicate shipping priorities and issues to the Warehouse Supervisor
· Verify outbound shipments against customer orders, product specifications, and lot traceability requirements. Confirm product quantities, condition, and temperatures meet shipment requirements. Communicate order status, changes, and delays to supervisors and internal stakeholders
· Prepare and process shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping manifests. Perform accurate inventory transactions in WMS/ERP systems
· Record and report discrepancies, damages, or shortages. Support cycle counts and inventory reconciliation activities
· Support shift start-ups and operational communication as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor
- Follow all food safety requirements including GMPs, HACCP, and sanitation procedures. Maintain lot control and product traceability for frozen finished goods. Maintain accurate records for audits, inspections
· Support tracking of Key Performance Indicators. Assist in improving shipping accuracy, documentation processes, and workflow efficiency
· Support continuous improvement initiatives, standard work practices, and maintain clean and organized work areas consistent with 5S standards
· Other duties as assigned by leaders
Knowledge, Skill and Experience Required:
· 1+ year experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics
· Basic computer skills and experience with data entry
· Ability to work in freezer environments
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams software; Inventory software; Internet and order processing systems.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out and deliver instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Must have good verbal and communication skills.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret data with great attention to detail.
Ability to learn new software programs.
Required Education/Training/Certification Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED

Essential Physical Abilities:
Ability to sit at an office desk with sufficient vision and physical dexterity to use PC desk top system.
Ability to use standard functions of office equipment (PC, calculator, fax, printer, scanner, copier, smart phone, etc.).
Ability to lift and handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds for use in day-to-day job functions.
Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes which permits the employee to have access to various work sites throughout the facilities. Able to climb/squat/etc. to inspect equipment.
Ability to travel to other TCF company locations or industry events to conduct and participate in on-site meetings.
Ability to work in a cold storage warehouse condition–Cold wet, slippery noisy, etc. environment for 8-10 hours. Wearing a freezer suit.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to work near moving mechanical equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
