Join Our Grooming Team at Animal Hospital of East Davie!

Animal Hospital of East Davie is excited to welcome an experienced Pet Groomer to our growing veterinary support team. We are a full-service practice providing comprehensive medical care alongside professional grooming services, and we take pride in serving pets and their families in our community.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated groomer who enjoys working independently while being part of a collaborative hospital environment. Our team schedules all appointments for grooming, in this role you'll be able to focus on bathing and grooming fully!

Schedule: This is a part-time position with availability needed Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. You'd typically start work at 7:30 am and leave once your grooms are completed for the day.

Qualifications

• Professional grooming and bathing experience working with a variety of dog breeds and coat types
• Knowledge of breed-specific grooming standards
• Ability to safely handle pets of varying sizes and temperaments
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Grooming certification is a plus

Key Responsibilities

• Perform full grooming services including bathing, drying, haircuts/styling, brush-outs, nail trims, de-matting, ear cleaning, and gland expression
• Evaluate each pet�s coat and skin condition and communicate grooming recommendations to pet owners
• Engage with clients to understand grooming preferences and expectations
• Safely handle pets of various sizes and temperaments during grooming procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized grooming area throughout the day and at the end of each shift

Part-time benefits and compensation**:

• Compensation: $10.50 - 12.50 per hour plus 50% commission on grooms
