Compensation:

Licensed - $75,000 - $97,000 | Sign-on Bonus of $6,000 based on a full-time position
Un-Licensed- $67,500 - $86,320 | Sign-on Bonus of $3000 based on a full-time position

Join a collaborative and supportive team at La Clinica.We are looking for a full-time behavioral health clinician to join our fast-paced, patient-centered primary care team.

We are dedicated to the primary care behavioral health (PCBH) integration model and support early learnerintegratedbehavioralhealthclinicians (IBHC) by offering:  

  • 3.5hrs/month group and individual clinical supervision which meets licensingboard requirements
  • Opportunities for experiential didactics/case conferences with a PCBH focus
  • The Integrated Behavioral Health Clinician (IBHC) is a vital part of our primary care team at La Clinica. The IBHC works closely with primary care providers, nurses, medical assistants, and other team members to address the physical health, mental health and substance use challenges of our patient population. Our IBHCs provide evidence-based,targetedassessment, consultation, and brief, solution-focused services to promote behavioral health across the lifespan. This includeseasy-access, interdisciplinary care for adultsboth individually and in group settings, making referrals when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborativecare:Work closely with La Clinica medical providers to deliver comprehensive clinical services that target interventions aimed at improving patientquality of lifeand clinical outcomes.Work with Behavioral Health Support Specialists byprovidingclinical guidance and providing collaborative patient care.
  • Health care providercommunication:Addressbehavioral healthconcerns fromhealth careproviders by delivering focused, clear feedback in both written and verbal forms.
  • Healthassessment:Support patients with significant psychosocial barriersbyidentifyingand evaluatinghealth risk behaviors,providingdiagnostic clarification formental health andsubstance use conditions, develop care plans, andprovide brief, targeted interventions to supportoptimalmental, behavioral, emotional, and physical health.Support in connecting to communitysupportswhenindicated.
  • Steppedcareparticipation:Collaborate withpsychiatric providersfor psychiatric medication management needs and refer patients to specialty mental health and substance usecareas necessary.
  • Riskintervention:Support the team in assessing andinterveningwithpatientsat risk of harming themselves or others,situations involving domestic violence byidentifyingsafety plans and referring to appropriateservices.
  • Teaminvolvement:Participateactively in patient carestaffingwith the clinical care team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Educationalcontribution:Provide clinical consultation and psycho-educational programs on behavioral health-related topics to staff, students/fellows, consumers, and other agencies as needed.
  • Continuousimprovement:Participatein clinic and performance improvement meetings and in-service training opportunities, to stay updated and contribute to ongoing clinic advancements.
  • Supervisoryrole:You may provideclinical supervision to unlicensed behavioral health clinicians, behavioral health support specialists, and master’s degree students, fostering growth and development within the team.

Required Qualifications:

Education  

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, marital and family therapy, or clinical mental health counseling

Licensure  

  • This position requires you to be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

OR   

  • A Registered Clinical Social Work Associate (CSWA), a Professional Counselor Associate (PCA)or a Marriage & Family Therapy Associate (MFTA) with the State of Oregon (we provideclinicalsupervision).We will support you in becoming a registered associate and offer you clinical supervision toward licensure.  

Preferredexperience,skillsandabilities:

  • Experience with psychosocial assessment, short-term evidence-basedmodalities, and crisis intervention
  • Experience working in the medical social work or community mental health field and knowledge ofintegratedbehavioralhealth in the community healthcare system
  • Experience working with health-related issues, substance abuse, and history of trauma
