POSITION SUMMARY:
To assist the Waterfront Director in organizing and administering the activities at the waterfront/pool consistent with Girl Scouts of the USA, American Camp Association and New York State Department of Health standards.
Salary Range: $3,175 - $3,575 FOR ENTIRE SEASON
KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carry out assigned waterfront activities.
- Participate in special waterfront events.
- Assist in swim lessons as directed by the Waterfront Director/WSI Manager.
- Enforce water safety measures at the waterfront.
- Help to take care of waterfront equipment, facilities, and supplies; report repairs needed to Waterfront Director.
- Participate in in-service trainings with other lifeguards and the Waterfront Director.
- Keep records and make reports as required.
- Participate in general camp activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Successful completion of background check.
- Must be at least 17 years old.
- Current high school student or high school diploma.
- Current certification in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and Waterfront Lifeguard.
- Current certification in American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Capable of lifting and carrying items over 15 lbs.
- Proficient in navigating rough terrain.
- Comfortable being active for extended durations.
