Description
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting in the dental treatment of patients, including seating patients, providing dentist with instruments and equipment, and mixing filling and impression materials.
- Cleaning, sterilizing, and assembling instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary for specific dental procedures.
- Assisting in the preparation of cast models by preparing required materials, taking impressions of teeth, and pouring and trimming models.
- Take and download oral radiographs used in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Record treatment results on patient’s dental record; instruct patients in the care of teeth and appliances; provide instructional materials as required.
- Schedule and confirm appointments.
- Requisition dental supplies and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on instruments and equipment.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma or equivalent;
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a dental practice or completion of an accredited, approved Dental Assistant program;
- Bilingual preferred;
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain working relationships with patients and co-workers;
- Basic Computer Skills demonstrating specifically basic skills in word, excel, inter office email systems.
