The Medical Assistant works as a member of an interdisciplinary team in one of MDC’s behavioral healthcare programs, providing quality guest/client care by performing a variety of administrative and clinical procedures under the supervision of a licensed healthcare practitioner within the scope of their practice.
- As directed, perform tasks and procedures within scope of practice, documenting accurately and completely in the medical record of MDC clients/guests.
- Document client/guest data and interaction in the medical record completely and accurately and file progress notes and reports as directed.
- Take and document accurate vital signs.
- Administer medications, and intravenous injections.
- Collect and prepare specimens for testing, including blood draws.
- Accurately document relevant client/guest symptoms, observations, and procedures.
- Communicate in an attentive and client-centered manner in every interaction.
- Obtain and record client/guest medical history.
- Other duties as assigned.
Schedule: Mon - Fri, 8am - 4pm
