We’re looking for a Banquet Executive Sous Chef at Annapolis Waterfront Hotel who thrives in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment and knows how to turn large-scale execution into a seamless, elevated experience. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who brings precision, creativity, and a deep sense of ownership to every event from intimate gatherings to full-scale waterfront celebrations.

What You’ll Do

Lead the execution of all banquet and event culinary operations with consistency, quality, and efficiency
Partner closely with the Regional Chef and events team to deliver exceptional guest experiences at every touchpoint
Oversee preparation, production, and plating for high-volume banquet service while maintaining Atlas-level standards
Train, coach, and develop culinary team members by building a culture of accountability, growth, and excellence
Ensure all food is prepared, presented, and delivered on time and to spec
Manage inventory, ordering, and cost controls with a sharp eye for detail and profitability
Maintain the highest standards of sanitation, safety, and kitchen organization
Step in as a leader on the line by setting the pace, solving challenges, and driving execution in real time

What You Bring

Proven experience in a high-volume banquet or events culinary environment
Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and develop a team
A hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mentality—this role leads from the front
Deep understanding of food quality, presentation, and timing at scale
Financial awareness with experience managing food cost, labor, and waste
Ability to stay composed, organized, and solutions-focused in a fast-paced setting
A passion for hospitality and creating standout guest experiences

Total Rewards
The base salary range for this role is $80,000-$90,000, aligned with your experience, leadership scope, and the impact you bring to the business.
