Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Ensure proper setup, operation, take-down, cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of materials, equipment, and machinery
  • Assist in loading/unloading of materials, equipment, and supplies to and from trucks, jobsites, and barges, ensuring proper stowage and securing of cargo to prevent shifting or damage during transit
  • If operating on a barge, assist in proper mooring/anchoring of vessels, handling lines, chains, and anchors in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines
  • Perform tasks aligned to projects: demolition, construction, and/or installation of seawalls, docks, piles, boat lifts: digging, shoveling, leveling, lifting, carrying, carpentry, framing, rigging, positioning structural components, and working with a wide variety of tools and equipment
  • Ensure construction equipment and tools are clean, organized, and stored in an orderly fashion after each use. Dispose of rubble/debris/trash and hazardous, worn, damaged, outdated, or other waste materials from work areas and maintain a baseline organization and site cleanliness
  • Assist with routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning/painting/lubricating equipment & machinery. Identify and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel for resolution

Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  •  High school diploma or equivalent
  •  Construction experience
  •  Current, valid driver’s license
  •  Reliable personal transportation
  •  Conversational in English
  •  Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
  •  Ability to work a full shift in extreme heat
  •  Ability to swim
  •  Ability to pass a controlled substance screening
  •  Ability to pass a background check


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS

  •  Experience in marine construction
  •  Possess a working knowledge of engineering drawings, sketches, and blueprints
  •  OSHA 10 Certified
  •  OSHA 4-Hour Qualified Rigging & Signaling
  •  CPR & First Aid Certified
  •  Class A CDL license
  •  Bilingual (English/Spanish)
