<p><strong>The Opportunity </strong></p>

<p>The Commissioning Manager is accountable for delivering the technical scope of work for Thermo Systems projects in alignment with the customer contract. Partnering closely with the Project Manager and Site Manager, this role ensures that engineered solutions are correctly implemented, tested, commissioned, and accepted by the customer. </p>

<p>The Commissioning Manager leads on-site commissioning activities, develops and executes testing strategy, and coordinates engineering and technical resources. This role is highly customer-facing and relationship-driven, requiring strong communication and coordination with project teams, clients, contractors, and commissioning agents. The CXM is focused on technical quality, functional performance, and system readiness. </p>

<p><strong>What You�ll Do </strong></p>

<p><strong>Technical Scope Ownership & Engineering Coordination: </strong></p>

<ul>
	<li>Own contracted technical scope delivery, ensuring systems are implemented and commissioned to specification. </li>
	<li>Advise the Project Manager on staffing, commissioning strategy, and schedule constraints. </li>
	<li>Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and ensure deliverables support testing. </li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Commissioning & Start-Up Leadership: </strong></p>

<ul>
	<li>Lead field commissioning activities, directing technical resources from pre-functional checks through final acceptance. </li>
	<li>Oversee and execute FAT/SAT and commissioning test plans; serve as the primary on-site coordination point. </li>
	<li>Drive punch list resolution and re-testing through to close-out. </li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Quality & Technical Assurance: </strong></p>

<ul>
	<li>Ensure delivered systems meet contractual quality and performance standards. </li>
	<li>Review and approve commissioning documentation, test reports, and turnover packages. </li>
	<li>Maintain accurate as-built records throughout the commissioning lifecycle. </li>
	<li>Monitor, maintain, and lead commissioning documentation efforts across customer-specific platforms such as CX Alloy, BIM 360, and similar tools. </li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Customer Technical Interface: </strong></p>

<ul>
	<li>Serve as Thermo Systems' primary technical liaison with customer engineering and operations teams. </li>
	<li>Lead technical reviews, demonstrations, and acceptance activities through final sign-off. </li>
	<li>Support operational readiness, including customer training and knowledge transfer. </li>
	<li>Effectively de-escalate priority conflicts with customers and trade partners, facilitating mutually beneficial solutions that keep projects on track. </li>

<p><strong>Cross-Functional Project Integration: </strong></p>

	<li>Partner with the Project Manager on schedule alignment, milestone tracking, and risk mitigation. </li>

<p><strong>What We�re Looking For </strong></p>

<p><strong>Education & Experience: </strong></p>

<ul>
	<li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, Associate's degree in a related technical discipline, or equivalent hands-on field experience. </li>
	<li>5�8 years of commissioning experience, including 3�4 years of technical field experience in commissioning, controls, automation, or a related discipline. </li>
	<li>Hands-on experience leading field teams and managing technical resources across concurrent project activities. </li>
	<li>Experience serving as a primary client contact or site-level technical liaison. </li>
	<li>Industrial automation or systems integration background. </li>
	<li>FAT/SAT and commissioning methodology experience in data center or critical infrastructure environments. </li>
	<li>Multidisciplinary engineering coordination experience across MEP and controls disciplines. </li>
	<li>Experience with customer commissioning platforms such as CX Alloy or BIM 360. </li>

<div><h3>Job Description</h3><div>The Manager, Project Controls leads project control teams in developing moderately complex to highly complex cost and schedule baselines; collects and analyzes monthly cost and schedule progress, identifies and analyzes project variances; ensures risk reserves are updated and integrated into project financial forecasts; and oversees and reports this information in standard formats to appropriate managers. Identifies areas of improvement in current tools and project controls systems and processes and works towards the implementation of necessary improvements. Follows all safety programs.<br/><br/>• Status Updating/Forecasting<br/>Provides supervision in the development of cost controls, procedures, systems and forecasting techniques to evaluate project/program status.  Ensures compliance with internal procedures such as federal/ government regulations. Gathers project progress information from project manager and project team members to update and monitor the project. Evaluates and updates data regarding schedule dates, physical percent complete, resource requirements, subcontractor commitments and project accruals.  Reviews schedule progress and productivity of resources. Develops time-phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs; updates requirements as required. <div><h3>Job Description</h3><div>The Manager, Project Controls leads project control teams in developing moderately complex to highly complex cost and schedule baselines; collects and analyzes monthly cost and schedule progress, identifies and analyzes project variances; ensures risk reserves are updated and integrated into project financial forecasts; and oversees and reports this information in standard formats to appropriate managers. Identifies areas of improvement in current tools and project controls systems and processes and works towards the implementation of necessary improvements. Follows all safety programs.<br/><br/>• Status Updating/Forecasting<br/>Provides supervision in the development of cost controls, procedures, systems and forecasting techniques to evaluate project/program status.  Ensures compliance with internal procedures such as federal/ government regulations. Evaluates and updates data regarding schedule dates, physical percent complete, resource requirements, subcontractor commitments and project accruals. Evaluates and raises project early warning signals to project manager. Evaluates and recommends resource realignments to maintain project execution. Leads and coordinates implementation of project control functions for assigned major projects; serves as technical advisor to assigned project managers related to project controls system and procedures to achieve on-time and on-budget goals.<br/><br/>• Progress Reporting<br/>Generates enterprise level reports to facilitate processes, performance improvement and visibility across the business. Performs portfolio analysis and review findings with portfolio managers with respect to On Time Delivery, Risk Forecasts, and Project Gross Profit Erosion etc. Evaluates project execution and impact of developing trends using prescribed methodologies to determine if project is proceeding within available resources and budget. Prepares client and internal status reports to communicate cost status and documents trends. Assists in supervising the activities of project control staff to ensure that work is completed on a timely basis and that company policies and procedures are followed.
