Services Research, Public Health, Psychology, or a closely related quantitative field</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Ph.D., Sc.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Services Research, Public Health, Psychology, or a closely related quantitative field completed within three years</li><li>Demonstrated proficiency in Spanish (Speaking, Reading, and Writing)</li><li>Demonstrated expertise and a strong publication record utilizing advanced statistical modeling and missing data techniques, specifically multiple imputation.</li><li>Strong foundational knowledge of pediatric health and clinical research methodologies.</li><li>Proven track record as a self-starting thinker with the ability to conceive, plan, and drive projects to completion with minimal direct oversight.</li><li>Prior experience holding or submitting a pre-doctoral or postdoctoral fellowship (such as an NIH F32).</li><li>Demonstrated record of successful peer-reviewed publications, including first-author papers, in high impact journals.</li><li>Direct experience with grant writing, particularly K-series applications, or equivalent mechanisms.</li><li>Proficiency in statistical programming languages (e.g., R, Python, Stata, SAS).</li><li>Direct experience leading successful Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions at a major academic institution.</li><li>Experience utilizing data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, R Shiny) to design and implement interactive dashboards for effective reporting of research findings and project metrics.</li></ul> ResponsibilitiesResearch Development, Writing, and Editing<ul><li>Independently lead the preparation and submission of Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications, amendments, and continuing reviews for new and ongoing studies.</li><li>Design, execute, and manage original research projects aligned with the ROOTS Lab&#39;s mission, with a specific focus on pediatric health outcomes.</li><li>Prepare manuscripts for publication in high-impact peer-reviewed journals</li><li>Prepare presentations for national and international conferences.</li><li>Assist the ROOTS Director as needed to successfully develop and disseminate high-quality research, and secure funding to support ongoing efforts.</li></ul> Quantitative Analysis<ul><li>Independently perform complex quantitative data analyses, ranging from exploratory to explanatory models.</li><li>Demonstrate advanced proficiency in specialized statistical techniques, such as multiple imputation (MI) for handling missing data, power analysis and power calculations.</li><li>Oversee the cleaning, merging, and management of large, complex clinical and administrative datasets.</li></ul> Mentorship and Guidance<ul><li>Provide high-level guidance, review, and support to graduate and undergraduate students within the ROOTS Lab on their research designs
