Aviation &amp; Missile Solutions (AMS) is currently seeking a Software Systems Engineer with a focus on the THAAD system to join our Huntsville, AL. team.
We are looking for a THAAD system focused Software Systems Engineer to join our team to support the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office, Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Mission Command Product Office. The candidate in this role will work with contractors, US military, government civilians and system operators to support mission-critical ITI software development by translating Solutions Engineering Documents (SEDs) into actionable Program Engineering Documents (PEDs), ensuring the resulting software-level solution is clearly defined, directly traceable to initial requirements, and technically executable. This role requires close coordination between system architects, solutions systems engineers, software developers, and integration teams to deliver a cohesive and effective solution that meets operational needs.
Your day-to-day work will include:
<ul>
<li>Working as a member of the Software Systems Engineering team to develop program-level features utilizing a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach that describe MEI and CSCI behavior, performance and acceptance criteria necessary to guide software implementation, utilizing Jira and Confluence to document tasks/issues within an Agile workflow</li>
<li>Assembling artifacts and other information into Program Engineering Documents (PEDs)</li>
<li>Facilitating/Leading both Internal and Formal Reviews of assigned features as well as adjudication/resolution of comments made against features</li>
<li>Participating in regularly scheduled team stand-ups as well as Team Planning, Retrospectives, and Prioritization</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned</li>
</ul>
At a minimum you should have:
<ul>
<li>An active SECRET security clearance and the ability to maintain.</li>
<li>A bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.</li>
<li>3 to 10 years of systems engineering or related experience.</li>
<li>Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)</li>
<li>Proficiency in MagicDraw</li>
<li>Proficiency in the Microsoft Office toolset</li>
<li>Experience with Jira and Confluence</li>
<li>Effective communication skills, both written and verbal</li>
<li>Demonstrated interpersonal skills to effectively interface with various levels of workers/leaders</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative team environment</li>
</ul>
You will be highly desirable if you have:
<ul>
<li>A master's degree in systems engineering.</li>
<li>Previous experience with the Army Air and Missile Defense Command and Control systems, such as Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS), Patriot, FAAD C2, and ADAM</li>
<li>Previous experience with the integration of Command and Control Systems in a System of Systems architecture</li>

SECRET clearance; bachelor's degree in STEM; 3+ years in systems engineering; MBSE experience; proficiency with MagicDraw, Jira, Confluence; MS Office; strong communication and collaboration.

JOB SUMMARY
Performs advanced case management work. Work involves coordinating case management  activities developing program goals, objectives, and procedures; and evaluating outcome measures  for the program. Works under minimal supervision with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and  independent judgment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
A. Performs complex pre-release case management for the reentry and integration of inmates  discharging from a correctional facility; assists in the development of program policies and  procedures; assists with program monitoring and evaluation; and assists with coordinating  activities to produce an effective reentry transitional process.
B. Reviews inmates referred to the program and tracks progress through the case management  process; conducts inmate assessments to identify workforce and reentry barriers; implements  criteria for identification of inmate needs; and develops and implements case plans to address  removal of inmate deficiencies.
C. Coordinates with appropriate agencies in obtaining necessary inmate identification documents;  assists in inmate eligibility and application for various reentry benefits and services; and works  with and provides liaison with program staff, government agencies, inmate families, faith-based  support groups, and other organizations. 
D. Develops and maintains records on participating inmates; documents case records and reviews  reports; and compiles and analyzes data and prepares summary reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A. Education, Experience, and Training
1. Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED. 
2. Four years full-time, wage-earning case processing, case management, social services,  criminal justice, or human services experience. Fifteen semester hours from a college or  university accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education  accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of Education (USDE) may be  substituted for each six months of experience.
3. Reentry programs, transitional employment planning, parole, or probation experience  preferred.
4. Computer operations experience preferred.
5. Governmental agency experience preferred.
B. Knowledge and Skills
1. Knowledge of case management principles, objectives, standards, and methods.
2. Knowledge of community and government service delivery systems and case management  delivery systems.
3. Knowledge of agency programs that address inmate assessment and inmate needs  preferred.
4. Knowledge of job market and job training procedures preferred.
5. Knowledge of agency and departmental organizational structure, policies, procedures,  rules, and regulations preferred.
6. Knowledge of motivational interviewing concepts and techniques preferred.
7. Skill to communicate ideas and instructions clearly and concisely. 
8. Skill to coordinate with other staff, departments, officials, agencies, organizations, and the  public. 
9. Skill to interpret and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

I. JOB SUMMARY
Performs routine consultative services and technical assistance work. Work involves assisting with  planning, developing, and implementing an agency program; and providing consultative services and  technical assistance to program staff, government agencies, community organizations, and the  public. II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
A. Provides support and collaborates in the planning, development, implementation, analysis, and  documentation of a unit maintenance program; requisitions and tracks merchandise, supplies,  parts, and equipment necessary for unit maintenance and construction activities; maintains  perpetual inventory control of materials and supplies using automated systems; and develops and maintains automated records of labor and material used in maintenance and construction  activities.
B. Coordinates the preparation, editing, and distribution of correspondence, reports, studies, and  forms; and audits field operating reports, invoices, requisitions, purchase orders, work orders,  and other documents.
C. Coordinates maintenance and construction work between staff and departments of the agency;  and confers with staff on maintenance and construction program problems.
D. Trains and supervises inmates in administrative support procedures used in unit maintenance  and construction programs.
E. Assists in maintaining the security of assigned inmates.
