Duties &amp; Responsibilities 

<ul>
	<li>Assigns ICD-10-CM &amp; PCS codes ethically and accurately to inpatient records. </li>
	<li>Reviews the medical record in order to select the principal diagnosis, secondary diagnoses and procedures.</li>
	<li>Abstracts relevant clinical information from the medical records.</li>
	<li>Participates in coding staff meetings.</li>
	<li>Assist other coders when needed.</li>
	<li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>

&nbsp;

Qualifications 

<ul>
	<li>High school diploma or GED.</li>
	<li>Strong Background in Anatomy, Physiology and Medical Terminology.</li>
	<li style="margin-bottom:11px">RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, or CMC.</li>
</ul>

&nbsp;

Preferred Qualifications

<ul>
	<li>Prior Experience in Inpatient Coding.</li>
	<li style="margin-bottom:11px">Keyboard skills ---- Experience with 3M Encoder.</li>
